Porcelain cup with turquoise interior, Linda Bloomfield

I met Linda Bloomfield when I bought this cup from her at the Contemporary Crafts Festival at Bovey Tracey in 2006. It is still my favorite for my daily hot chocolate seven years later. Originally she studied to be a scientist; but now she is renowned for her elegantly simple tableware and beautiful glazes that emphasize her throwing lines. She has also written three books, one of which is part of my holiday reading.

  1. Her things are lovely aren’t they. She’s just created over 300 pieces for the new café in the Royal Albert Hall! Thanks so much for the comment about the photography – I actually quite enjoy it, but I’m terrible for not having a decent camera with me when I really need one. My phone camera is pretty crap *she says hoping that it’s a valid excuse to upgrade soon*.
